Dr Johann Hough

Dr Hough received his MBChB from the University of the Free State in 1983. Thereafter followed his Internship at Baragwanath Hospital, and then a Medical Officer position, first in the Defence Force for 2 years, and then at Natalspruit Hospital for a further 5 years. He then completed his Masters degree in Anesthesia at the University of Pretoria, receiving the M.Med( Anaes) qualification in 1993. He stayed on as a Specialist Consultant for two years. He moved into the private sector in Pretoria for 8 years, providing anesthesia for general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology and cardiac sedations. He then moved to Vereeniging in the Vaal Triangle, where he continued his work in Private Practice. He moved to Cape Town for more than a year before settling in Knysna at the end of 2024. At present he mainly does orthopedics and general surgery.
